Privacy Policy

What’s new in this updated Privacy Policy? We updated our Privacy Policy applicable to our online websites and services to clarify our data collection, usage, and sharing practices and the choices you can make about how we collect and use your information. Please take the time to read the Privacy Policy in full. You consent to the data collection, use, disclosure, and storage practices described in this Privacy Policy when you use any of our services (as described below).

For Eastern Supply D.O.O, which does business as Insuredli (“we” or “us” or “Insuredli”), protecting your personal information is important to us. This Privacy Policy provides details on our information practices and the choices you can make about how we collect and use your personal information. MediaAlpha provides various online marketplaces connecting consumers with insurance agents, travel agents, and other companies (“Third-Party Partners”) via the websites we own and operate (“Sites”) and our webforms that are embedded in such Third-Party Partner websites (“Webforms”).

While we do not provide quotes or rates for services directly to consumers, when you submit your information through our Sites or Webforms you are instructing us to share your information with those Third-Party Partners in our network to determine and present to you the most relevant services offered by such Third-Party Partners that may be of interest to you for a quote or rates. We are the Data Controller with respect to information collected on our Sites, information you enter into our Webforms that appear on Third-Party Partner’s websites, information collected from you when you initiate a call to us or that we initiate (or our Third-Party Partners initiate on our behalf) to you with your consent, and any other information you choose to provide to us.

Please note that this Privacy Policy applies only to:

  • information collected through the Sites that reference this Privacy Policy including Insuredli.com;
  • information you enter into our Webforms that appear on Third-Party Partner’s websites;
  • certain limited information collected from you automatically regarding your interaction with our Third-Party Partner’s websites as a result of a visit to our Sites, solely for attribution and optimization purposes;
  • information collected from you during phone calls to us that you initiate or that we or our Third-Party Partners may initiate with your prior consent; and
  • any other information you choose to provide to us.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to websites maintained by other companies or to which we may link (except for the limited situations set forth above), or to any information you may provide directly to a Third-Party Partner or other service provider who you are connected with through our service. The privacy policy of such Third-Partner or other service provider applies with respect to the information you provide to them.

Information We Collect and How We Use Your Information

How we collect and use your information (including your personal information) is as further described below. For each method of collection detailed below, we use the information you provide to us to provide our services to you, to communicate with you, to process your request, to understand how our services are used, to improve our services, and to comply with applicable laws.

Sites and Webforms. As mentioned above, when you complete an online form on our Sites or when you complete our Webform embedded on a Third-Party Partner’s website we collect and use your information (including your personal information) to respond to your request for quotes and rates for products and services offered by such Third-Party Partners. For example, you may be asked to provide your name, address, telephone number, email, and other information in order to be matched to insurance carriers and agents who may provide you a quote for their insurance services. Or you may be asked to provide home and destination airports and travel dates so that we can show you flight and hotel options. The categories of information you can provide to us through our Sites and Webforms depends on the nature of the Third-Party Partner’s products and services for which you are requesting quotes or rates.

Automatic Collection. We may also collect other information from you through automatic means such as device type, browser type, IP Address (which is treated as personal information in some jurisdictions, but which we use only to identify your geographic area and to comply with applicable laws) or other demographic and usage information. To learn more about how we collect information through technology and automatic means and the choices you can make about how we can use and collect your information through automatic means, see “Information Collection Technologies and Cookies“.

Telephone Calls and Email. We may collect information from you during phone calls that you initiate to us or that we or our Third-Party Partners may initiate (on our behalf) with your prior consent to you or when you send us correspondence by mail or email. The categories of information we collect from you or that you can provide to us through calls, mail, and email depends on the nature of the Third-Party Partner’s products and services for which you are requesting quotes or rates and the purpose of your call, mail, and email to us.

Offline and Other Sources. In addition, we might receive information about you from other online or offline sources and we may combine such information with the information you have provided.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We share the information we collect from you including personal information under the following circumstances:

Quote Requests. If you submit a request for price quotes or rates for Third-Party Partner’s products or services, we will share the information contained in your request form (such as your name, address, telephone number, email, information about your cars, health, travel destination, etc.) with our Third-Party Partners, which may include agents, carriers, lead aggregators, and other service providers in our network, to process and fulfill your request. The information we share with such Third-Party Partners and the information you provide directly to such Third-Party Partners (see “Third Party Links” below) will be subject to their privacy policies and procedures. Please review such Third-Party Partner’s privacy policy to learn more about their information collection practices and the choices you can make about how they collect and use your personal information.

Our agreements require Third-Party Partners to secure any personal information we provide to them and limit how they can use such information. Our agreements also require these Third-Party Partners to comply with national, state, and other applicable privacy regulations. By submitting your request to us, you understand that we and our Third-Party Partners may contact you by telephone (including through automated calling or using recorded messages), text messages (SMS), email, or postal mail based on the information you provide to us, in order to process and fulfill your request or to market additional products and services that might be of interest to you.

You understand that by providing your information, you are agreeing to be contacted by us and our Third-Party Partners, even if you have opted into the National Do Not Call List administered by the Federal Trade Commission, or any similar mechanism to opt-out of receiving phone calls or email messages. If one of these Third-Party Partners contacts you and you wish not to be contacted again by that Third-Party Partner, then you should specifically make such a request with them (as noted above, see their privacy policy for how to exercise your choices with such Third-Party Partner). Please note that Third-Party Partners may maintain the information you provided via our Sites or Webforms whether or not you elect to purchase or use their services.

Service Providers. In order to provider our services to you we may share your information with our third-party vendors, suppliers, and service providers. As with our Third-Party Partners, our agreements require such vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure any personal information we provide to them and limit how they can use such information. Our agreements also require these vendors, suppliers, and service providers to comply with national, state, and other applicable privacy regulations.

Aggregate, Non-Personal, or De-identified Information. We may share deidentified aggregated information (i.e., information about you and other users collectively, but not specifically identifiable to you) and other non-personal, de-identified, or anonymous information we collect, with third parties to optimize their ability to reach their target markets.

As Required by Law. We may be required to share your personal information with law enforcement or government agencies in response to subpoenas, court orders, federal/state audits or similar circumstances whenever we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law.

Business Transfer. As with any other business, it is possible that we could in the future enter into a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of our business, a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale. If such a transaction occurs, the successor company would have access to the information maintained by us, including your personal information, but would continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection Technologies and Cookies

To better serve our users and Third-Party Partners and to analyze and enhance the performance of our Sites, we use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about our users, such as your browsing behavior, links clicked, device type, and to collect various data, including analytics, about how you use and interact with our Sites and our advertisers.

To opt-out of the use of cookies on our Sites, you can change your browser options to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting cookies. Certain aspects of our service may be limited if you do not accept cookies. More information about cookies and other tracking technologies is available at allaboutcookies.org or youronlinechoices.eu.

Do Not Track. Some web browsers may transmit “do not track” signals. We do not take action to respond to do not track signals available on some browsers. This is because web browsers may incorporate or activate these features differently, making it unclear if users have consciously activated them. As a result, at this time we do not take steps to respond to such signals. You can manage your cookie preferences using your own browser settings to accept or block some or all cookies or receive notice so you can consent to cookies. If you block all cookies some features of our Sites may be unavailable or limited.

Special Note for European Visitors. In connection with the effectiveness of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Economic Area (EEA), Insuredli has determined to eliminate or limit the use of cookies and similar technologies with visitors from the EEA. Specifically:

  • If you visit a Third-Party Partner’s site that uses our services, we will not place any cookies on your device unless such Third-Party Partner has obtained your consent and provided you with notice of our privacy practices and your ability to opt-out at any time.
  • We will not seek your consent to use cookies in this instance, though the publisher of the site may do so.
  • If you visit one of or our owned and operated sites, we will only place limited third-party cookies, such as those made available for analytics purposes by Google and Bing.
  • In this case, we will seek your consent to use these third-party cookies and will only do so after you indicate your consent. If you do not consent, then no cookies will be written to your device.
  • If you are visiting our corporate Site, MediaAlpha.com, for the first time, or the first time after we make a material change, we will seek your consent to use cookies.

If you do not consent, you will still be able to use the Site, but certain functionality may be limited. To enable this feature, we use third-party tools to determine your geographic location; if these tools indicate that you are in the EEA, then we treat your visit as above. If you feel that you are subject to the GDPR, but we have nonetheless used cookies in connection with your visit without consent – which may be due to a failure of the third party geolocation tools; your use of a proxy server, your location outside of the EEA at the time of your visit; or some other factor beyond our control – please notify us at admin@insuredlicom with any relevant details so that we can ensure proper treatment of your data under GDPR.

Emails

By providing your contact information to us, you are registering to receive communications from us directly or through a third-party. If you provide your e-mail address and request to be added to any of our travel deal or other mailing lists, we will periodically send you newsletters and other e-mails with offers and promotions. Our emails will always identify Insuredli or one of our branded sites as the sender. If you no longer wish to receive these communications, please let us know by sending an email to Customer Care at info@insuredli.com. You may also opt-out by clicking on the unsubscribe link in our emails.

Third-Party Advertisers

Please note that we only control our own mailing list and policies. Third-party advertisers that maintain their own mailing lists may send communications that advertise our services. You would need to contact these parties directly in order to stop receiving their email communications.

Confidentiality and Security

The security of your personal information is very important, and we take a number of steps to safeguard it. For example, we limit access to personal information to those employees or agents who need the information to provide requested products and services to you. We also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with or exceed federal standards to guard your personal information, and we anonymize or expunge data when it is no longer necessary to provide services to our users or substantiate records for our partners.

This Privacy Policy applies to all information that you provide to us. However, when you visit links from our Sites, keep in mind you will be interacting with a third-party that operates under its own privacy and security policy. If you choose to obtain services through a third-party site, the data collected by the third-party is governed by their privacy policy. A third-party site should also have its own policy regarding the use of cookies and other tracking technologies. We encourage you to review the policies of any Third-Party Partner from whom you request services.

A Special Note about Children’s Privacy and Children’s and Other Family Member’s Information

You must be at least 18 years old to use this website. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information about visitors under 18 years of age. If you are under 18 years of age, you can use the services offered on our websites only in conjunction with your parents or guardians. Please see our Terms of Use for more information. In some instances, our Sites allow you to submit information about other members of your family including your children in order to process your request for a quote (see “Quote Requests“). When you submit such information to us you represent and warranty that you are authorized to submit such information to us to process your request and for it to be used by us and our Third-Party Partners as outlined in this Privacy Policy and, with respect to Children’s information, you are the parent or guardian of such child.

Updating, Obtaining, or Removing Your Information

Upon request via email or mail, we will provide you a summary of personal information retained by us. We will only send your personal records to your email address or postal address that we have on file for you. To obtain, modify, correct, change, update or remove your personal records from our database, please send your request via email to our Data Protection Officer at admin@insuredli.com. We may ask you for additional information to verify your request before providing any personal information to you or to process your request to update or remove your personal information. If you are a California or Nevada resident, see the Special Notice to California Residents and the Special Notice to Nevada Residents below for additional information on your rights and choices in managing your personal information.

Special Notice to California Residents

If you reside in California, we are required to provide additional information to you about how we use and disclose your information and any additional rights with regard to how we use your information. We have included this California-specific information below.

Shine the Light. California residents may, no more than once per calendar year, request information about our disclosures of certain categories of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. To be valid, requests must be submitted to us at admin@insuredli.com. Within thirty days of receiving this request, we will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed for direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of the third parties.

Uses and Disclosure of Your Information.

Consistent with the “Information We Collect and How We Use Your Information” section above, we collect certain categories and specific pieces of information about individuals that are considered “personal information” in California. As detailed above, we may collect this personal information from you and other third parties. We collect, share, and disclose personal information for business and commercial purposes as described in the “Information We Collect and How We Use Your Information” and “Information Sharing and Disclosure” sections above.

Rights regarding your information:

Access, Deletion, and Information. Subject to certain exceptions, as a California resident, you have the right to: (i) access your personal information; (ii) obtain deletion of your personal information; and (iii) receive information about the categories of personal information about you that we have “sold” (as that term is defined under California law) to third parties and also that we have disclosed for business purposes. To exercise these rights:

  • Please visit the “Updating, Obtaining, or Removing Your Information” section for more information on how you can exercise these rights. We may ask you to provide us with additional information to verify your request.
  • You may also contact us at (855) 958-3823 for assistance in exercising your California rights described above.
  • Should you wish to request the exercise of these rights as detailed above, we will not discriminate against you by showing you different products or services based solely upon this request. Kindly note, however, since certain Third-Party Partners require additional data before providing quotes, rates, or other information, exercising these rights may limit the number and range of Third-Party Partners who are displayed in response to your request.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information. Some of our sharing activities may be considered a “sale” of personal information under California law. This includes when we share information collected from cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as how you interact with our Sites and our Third-Party Partners’ websites) with our Third-Party Partners and third party service providers in order to create user profiles and present Third-Party Partners’ products and services to you and relevant advertising messages based on your preferences and other information we have collected from you. Subject to certain exceptions, as a California resident, you may opt-out of the sharing of your personal information we collect through our Sites and Webforms through the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies by changing your browser options to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting cookies to opt-out of the collection and sharing of your information. To learn more see “Information Collection Technologies and Cookies“.

Keep in mind that, if you opt out of the collection and use of information via cookies and other tracking technologies, you may still see customized advertising displayed by advertising networks from which you have not opted out. In addition, your opt-out will not prevent any advertising network from displaying advertising that is not customized to you and your interests and, consequently, may be less relevant to you. Please also note that you will need to make such choices on each browser and device you may use to visit our Sites.

If you wish to put on file with us your preference to opt-out of our sharing of your personal Information with third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes or to find out more about your opt-out rights, please call us at (855) 958-3823.

Special Notice to Nevada Residents

Subject to certain exceptions, some of our data sharing practices may be considered a “sale” of your personal information under Nevada Revised Statutes 603A. Nevada residents may opt-out of the “sale” of personal information covered under the statute, by exercising your cookie consent options as detailed in the “Information Collection Technologies and Cookies” section above or by calling us at (855) 958-3823.

This Privacy Policy is intended to cover collection of information on our Sites from residents of the United States. The data protection and other laws of the United States might not be as comprehensive as those in your country. To the extent the laws of another jurisdiction apply to your data or use of the Sites, we will comply with such laws.
